NDLEA seizes 184kg of cocaine from Lagos courier firm, arrests socialite KC Luxury
The agency described the operation as its largest seizure of cocaine from a courier firm in its history.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, Buba Marwa, NDLEA chairman, said the agency arrested two suspects over the cocaine consignment.
The suspects are Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, a socialite popularly known as KC Luxury, and Lawal Kehinde, an employee of a logistics company.
The NDLEA chairman said the seized cocaine consignment is worth $27.7 million, which is approximately N39 million.
Marwa said after the seizure, the agency worked with the management of the logistics company which led to the arrest of Micheal and Kehinde.
Marwa added that KC Luxury was arrested at the Lagos airport as he made to flee the country. (TheCable)
