Diddy’s prison release pushed back amid ‘VIP treatment’ scandal

Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to spend more time behind bars after his projected release date was pushed back by six weeks amid controversy over alleged special treatment in prison.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records now list March 2, 2028, as the 56-year-old music mogul’s release date, replacing the previous date of January 21, 2028.

The reason for the latest change has not been publicly disclosed.

The development comes shortly after Diddy was reportedly returned to solitary confinement at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following allegations that he had been receiving preferential treatment from fellow inmates.

Reports alleged that prisoners cooked for him, cleaned his cell and provided massages, while other claims suggested he had access to contraband items.

NBC News also reported allegations that Diddy had access to a mobile phone and a modified tablet while in custody.

His representative, Juda S. Engelmayer, said the claims could not be independently verified.

“There is no way we can independently verify those rumors,” he said.

The Bureau of Prisons also declined to explain whether Diddy’s revised release date was connected to disciplinary action.

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any incarcerated individual, including reasons for a change in release date,” the agency said.

Diddy had previously been placed in solitary confinement in July following a reported altercation with another inmate.

His release date has changed several times since he began serving his sentence.

The rapper was sentenced to four years and two months in prison after being convicted on two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution.

He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

Diddy is currently appealing his conviction while serving his sentence at Fort Dix.
