2027: Recall Tinubu’s Electricity Promise Before Voting – Makinde Tells Nigerians
Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Alliance People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has urged Nigerians to hold President Bola Tinubu accountable for his promises and vote him out in the 2027 election.
Makinde made the call in Yola on Saturday during the APM North-East town hall meeting, where party stakeholders and candidates strategised ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, Makinde recalled that Tinubu had promised to fix Nigeria’s electricity challenges within four years, saying Nigerians should consider the state of the power sector when deciding how to vote in the next election.
“So if electricity is not fixed by now then you (Nigerians) know where you will cast your votes for a better future of our younger generation,” he said.
In his remarks, the party’s national leader and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, commended members and stakeholders for their support and cooperation in welcoming Makinde to the North-East.
Mohammed described the APM as a credible political platform capable of addressing Nigeria’s challenges and urged Nigerians to support the party and its candidates in the 2027 elections.
