COVID-19: Reps asks FG to reopen schools
The House of Representatives on Tuesday asked the Federal Government to reopen schools.
Lawmakers made the call amid the rising number of COVID -19 cases in the country and the raging controversy over whether schools should reopen.
The House, in a resolution in Abuja, specifically urged President Muhammadu Buhari to direct the “partial” resumption of school classes so that final year students would write their 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
The motion that led to the House resolution was moved by Hon Nnolim Nnaji.
It was unanimously adopted.
