Akpabio Directs Lawyers to Withdraw All Lawsuits Against Senator Natasha, Others
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has instructed his legal team to withdraw all pending lawsuits against Senator Natasha and other individuals.
Akpabio disclosed this during a New Year service at Sacred Heart Parish in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He revealed that he had filed nearly nine court cases against persons he accused of defamation and slander. However, he said his stance changed after listening to the sermon delivered by the priest at the service.
“I had almost nine cases in court against some individuals who defamed me, lied against me and slandered my name. But as I listened to the priest, I suddenly realised he was speaking to me,” Akpabio said.
According to him, the message inspired him to forgive those involved, prompting his decision to discontinue all legal actions.
“Therefore, I hereby direct my solicitors to withdraw all lawsuits against them,” the Senate President stated.
