Man, Mother Arrested for Alleged Ritual Murder of Young Brother in Ikorodu
A 32-year-old man, Afeez Olalere, and his mother have been arrested by the police in connection with the ritual murder of his younger brother in the Ikorodu area of Lagos. The duo allegedly conspired and killed the boy for money rituals, following instructions from a herbalist.
According to reports, the mother poisoned the victim, who died 20 minutes later. They then cut off his thumb, hair, fingers, and obtained his passport photograph. The body was wrapped and taken to a mortuary, but the police intercepted Afeez at Itamaga, Ikorodu, during a stop-and-search operation.
Afeez’s mother is facing charges for her role in the crime.
