Don’t Collect Money On My Behalf For Treatment – Igboho
Yoruba nation agitator Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho has said he did not ask anyone to raise funds for him from the public because of his ill-health.
He was reacting to a report of his call soliciting funds through voluntary donations from the public to help him get medical attention.
Igboho, who is being detained at a Beninoise prison, has been reported to have health challenges. He has been taken to hospital.
In a statement through his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, Igboho warned those behind the move to desist.
He took the opportunity to appeal to the government of Benin Republic to allow him travel to Germany to seek proper medical attention.
The statement titled: ‘Chief Sunday Adeyemo has not asked for money towards his medical treatment’, signed by Koiki, said: “I have just received a message from Chief Adeyemo’ lawyer that I should inform the public that he (Igboho) has not asked anyone to demand money towards his medical treatment in Benin Republic.
“Information has it that some individuals have been collecting money for Igboho’s medical bill.
“Yes, Adeyemo is not feeling well as we have reported. We are using this medium to ask the government of Benin to allow him travel for proper medical treatment.
“We use this medium to tell those asking for payment for Adeyemo’s medical treatment to desist.”
