Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao agree to a rematch in Las Vegas
Two legendary boxers, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, have agreed to a professional rematch that will take place in September this year.
The two names will fight on September 19, 2026 at the Sphere, Las Vegas, USA. The match will be broadcast live on Netflix.
“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the greatest fight in boxing history. Fans have waited a long time. They deserve this rematch,” Pacquiao said as quoted by BBC Sport.
The 48-year-old Mayweather announced that he would return from retirement for the fourth time last week. Meanwhile, Pacquiao previously fought in July 2025 against Mario Barrios which ended in a draw.
This will be the first professional fight for the United States fighter since defeating mixed martial artist Conor McGregor via knockout (KO) in the 10th round in 2017.
“I want Floyd to live with one defeat in his professional record and always remember who gave him that defeat,” Pacquiao said.
Mayweather has won all 50 of his professional fights without defeat, 27 of which were by knockout (KO). He has been on a series of exhibition matches since retiring in 2017 and is scheduled to face Mike Tyson this year.
Pacquiao and Mayweather first met in 2015 in a fight dubbed ‘Fight of the Century’. The duel still remains the highest-grossing boxing fight in history.
