The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, said the Peoples Democratic Party would have died if Prince Uche Secondus had remained its National Chairman.
The Governor spoke in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation after the National Convention of the PDP.
Wike, who said that he had never hidden his position that Secondus must leave as National Chairman, told the Pidgin English programme that the PDP would not have survived for long anymore under him.
He said contrary to the opinion that he should have hidden to deal with Secondus, he was not one to fear anybody.
He said that was why he orchestrated the suspension of the embattled National Chairman from the Ward to State levels.
Wike said with the way things are now, the PDP was set for greater heights.
