Lagos APC Denies Recall of SLGs, Supervisors Over Alleged Villa Directive
The All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, has dismissed reports alleging that its State Chairman ordered the recall of all Supervisory Local Government (SLG) officials and supervisors to the party secretariat in Acme over purported directives from the Presidential Villa.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the party described the claim as false, misleading and deliberately crafted to create unnecessary tension within its ranks and among the public.
The Lagos APC maintained that at no time did the State Chairman issue such a directive, stressing that no emergency meeting had been scheduled as speculated in the reports.
According to the statement signed by the Lagos APC Spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the party remains disciplined, transparent and law-abiding, guided strictly by due process and collective decision-making.
The party emphasised that its current focus is on consolidating internal structures ahead of the forthcoming national elections, noting that efforts are ongoing to strengthen mobilisation strategies to ensure victory at the polls.
The APC further urged members, supporters and the general public to disregard rumours capable of heating up the polity, assuring that any official communication would be disseminated through its recognised and established channels.
