Infidelity: ‘You’ve no right to judge me’ — Sammie Okposo hits critics

Sammie Okposo, the Nigerian gospel singer, has slammed those criticising him after he admitted to cheating on his wife.

The musician has been in the news since he opened up about getting intimate with a woman during a trip to the United States.

His confession had triggered a wave of reactions on social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing their different opinions.

Some critics had tackled him over infidelity, considering his status as a gospel musician.

But in a post via his Instagram story on Thursday, the singer said his critics should “save your critical comments for yourself.”

Okposo added that only Jesus can judge him.

“Jesus is the only one without sin and he only had the capacity to judge me. There is no small sin or big sin. Sin is sin. If you have ever committed a sin in your life you have no moral justification or capacity to judge me save your critical comments for yourself,” he wrote.

His latest reaction comes a few days after the musician declared that “I am free from sin”.

“I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am born of God the life of God is in me; Christ in me the hope of glory I am free from the law, from the power of sin. I am no longer bound by the fear of men,” he had written. (The Cable )
