Ganduje gives ambitious appointees 24 hours to resign
Political appointees in Kano interested in elective offices in the forthcoming 2023 general elections have been given 24 hours to resign.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje issued the directive on Saturday.
According to chief press secretary Abba Anwar, the appointees have been given up till Monday 18th April, 2022, to resign.
Anwar, in a statement Saturday night, said the directive was anchored on the need to comply with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act.
