PHOTOS: NDLEA empowers ex-Cannabis growers with cash support in Ondo
Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd), represented by his Chief of Staff, Colonel Murtala Aminu, alongside other officers of the agency together with traditional rulers, chiefs and members of Ifon, Ilu-Abo and Eleyowo communities, at the presentation of cheques of N10 million each representing 50% of the promised N20 million to kickstart their food crops cultivation projects in the phase one of the Alternative Development Pilot project of NDLEA on Monday 16th March, 2026.
This is coming on the heels of the earlier distribution of trailer load of fertilizers and knapsack sprayers to the communities, marking a new chapter in their transition from cannabis cultivation to legitimate farming and sustainable livelihood.
