I’ll Continue Good Works Of My Predecessor, Says New NYSC DG
The 19th Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Mohammed Kaku Fadah has said that all the ongoing projects by his predecessor must be completed.
Speaking on Wednesday during the handover and takeover ceremony held in Abuja, he said he would maintain the legacies of his predecessors.
“The outgoing NYSC DG has left a very big shoe for me to fill and I hope to work hard to fit into it. For all the ongoing projects, I will ensure that they get completed. All his legacies will be maintained,” he said.
Fadah urged the staff of the scheme not to indulge in shady activities such as gossip among other things rather, they should join hands with him to take the scheme to greater heights.
He said he would work hard to maintain the dream of the founding fathers of the scheme which is to unite the country through the NYSC.
On his part, the outgone Director-General of the scheme, Major General Ibrahim Shuaibu urged the new Director-General as well as the staff of the scheme to ensure that they put the welfare and protection of the scheme as a priority.
He urged the staff to extend their support to the new DG just as they were to him so that he would also take the scheme to greater heights.
Shuaibu urged the new DG and the staff to always call on him anytime they needed his support.
Also, a farewell parade by the staff of the scheme as well as corps members was held in honour of the outgone Director-General, Major General Ibrahim Shuaibu.
