Chelsea would love to replace Romero Lukaku with Robert Lewandoski this season after what seems like a loss of potency.

Despite winning the champions league last season, Chelsea was unable to win any major trophy this season, and Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel hinted Robert Lewandoski could resuscitate the club’s attack.

Lukaku was signed for a club-record fee of £97m last summer but he’s managed just eight league goals this campaign and the Blues are open to offers for the Belgium International.

Mason Mount is the only Chelsea player that has managed double figures this season and Tuchel feels that the side’s lack of goals has cost them dearly.

Barcelona would also want Robert Lewandoski to replace Martin Braithwaite whom they planned to offload next season.

Lewandoski has a year to go on his deal with Bayern Munich but said his goodbye to fans at the Allianz Arena last week.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is keen on joining Barcelona but it remains to be seen whether the Catalans can afford his salary, particularly given their financial troubles.

This has given Chelsea the hope of signing him next season.
