I was and I’m still happy at Manchester United – Cristiano Ronaldo
Man Utd are hopeful of still having Cristiano Ronaldo for next season.
The Portuguese’s last comments in an interview with the club’s media outlets lead to optimism.
He said that he was happy when he returned and says that that joy has done nothing other than increase. In addition, he hopes Erik ten Hag’s arrival will lead to the team winning trophies.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract at Man Utd runs until 2023. There has been lots of speculation on his future during a difficult season for Man Utd.
There are those who believe that he will leave Old Trafford, although others reckon he will stay. And, for those who believe the latter, Cristiano’s comments in his latest Man Utd interview make it clear he wants to stay.
“I was very happy to return. This club boosted my career, it was unbelievable. The feeling when returning was great. I felt the fans were there. I was and I’m still very happy to be here,” he stressed.
Cristiano Ronaldo made comments on new boss Ten Hag: He did a great job at Ajax, he’s an experienced coach. We have to give him time. Things have to change. I hope we have success, of course. If he’s successful, Man Utd will also be successful. I wish Ten Hag the best. You have to believe we’re going to win trophies.
Cristiano Ronaldo said that he still has football left in his boots for a bit. “Goals come naturally. I don’t follow records, they just come. They’re my motivation to keep on working hard. I keep on loving football. Man Utd and my colleagues helped me all the time,” he concluded.
