Chelsea plan to fund Ousmane Dembele deal with Romelu Lukaku departure

Chelsea see offloading Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan as a way to fund a deal for Ousmane Dembele.

With limited funds, Inter are seeking a loan move which will also require Chelsea to part pay his wages.

Inter are ready to cough up just over a third of Lukaku’s roughly £325,000-a-week pay, reports The Sun. As such, it would leave Chelsea still shelling out around £200,000 a week.

However, with a £20m loan fee also mooted, the Blues see the cash saved and raised as bankrolling a deal for Barcelona attacker Dembele.

The Frenchman is in talks with Chelsea about a Bosman move and offloading Lukaku will leave room in the budget to add the winger.
