JUST IN: Diddy Sentenced to More Than Four Years in Prison Over Prostitution Case
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the American rapper and music mogul, has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after being found guilty on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
The 55-year-old received his sentence on Friday from Judge Arun Subramanian at the New York courthouse.
Combs was convicted of arranging flights across the United States for what he described as “freak-offs,” which involved his girlfriends and male sex workers.
He was arrested in September 2024 following accusations from more than 120 people — including a minor — who alleged kidnapping, blackmail, abuse, and prostitution-related crimes.
In July, a jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, linked to encounters with Ventura and another individual identified as Jane.
He was, however, acquitted of charges relating to sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, as well as racketeering conspiracy.
Earlier this week, federal prosecutors sought an 11-year sentence, branding Combs as “unrepentant” and accusing him of leaving his victims in fear.
His defence team, however, argued for a lighter term of 14 months, equal to the time he has already spent in custody since his 2024 arrest.
Combs has been held for about 14 months at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
