“You went like a thief in the night” – Atiku attacks Tinubu over Afenifere endorsement

Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign organisation, on Tuesday, criticised Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the controversy that followed his purported endorsement by Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the immediate past leader of the Pan-Yoruba Socio-Political group, Afenifere.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that reactions have trailed the endorsement of Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, by Pa Fasoranti, a founding father of Afenifere.

Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the incumbent leader of Afenifere had endorsed Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

“Peter Obi secured endorsement from Afenifere without controversy or contradiction, but you went like a thief in the night and your supposed endorsement sparked controversy. Isn’t it shameful and disgraceful? Trying to stop a church rat from eating poisoned holy communion,” Daniel, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
