A few months after breaking up with Colombian singer Shakira, former Spain defender Gerard Pique and his new girlfriend Clara Chia went to a Japanese restaurant in his home country of Spain for a romantic dinner.
After eating, the 35-year-old former football player and the 23-year-old PR student were seen holding hands and talking outside the restaurant.
Gerard went on a date with his new girlfriend after he and his ex-wife Shakira worked out a custody plan for their sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7. They broke up earlier this year.
Gerard wore a plain white T-shirt with dark jeans and black and white sneakers to the event, while Clara wore a black trouser suit and off-white loafers.
Pique and Shakira said in their joint statement, “We wish to communicate that we have signed an agreement that guarantees the welfare of our children and that will be ratified in court as part of a mere formal procedure.
“Our sole objective is to provide them with the utmost security and protection, and we trust that their privacy will be respected.”
Their statement said, “We appreciate the interest shown and hope that the children can continue with their lives with the necessary privacy in a safe and calm environment.”

Gerard quit football over the weekend, and it is said that he gave his former partner permission to move to Miami with their two sons in the new year to avoid a long legal battle.
