‘Game of Thrones’ Star Calls the Final Season ‘Heartbreaking’
Ever since the Season 7 finale aired almost one year ago, Game of Thrones fans have been waiting not-so-patiently for what comes next. Of course, we’re eager for the next season to begin, but also afraid for the show to end. Well, according to Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei on the show, the ending will be mind-blowing and satisfying, yet heartbreaking.
In an interview on Wednesday, the British actress revealed the final season will perhaps bring the closure that we’ve been seeking.
“I think what we can expect from the final season of GoT is just a real push. Like in the last couple of seasons, we have seen the pace of the show increase with the stakes getting higher and higher,” Emmanuel began. “There are so many storylines that have to come to conclusion. We have to play them out, so the pace of the show is continuing on that sense.”
“There are so many characters and stories that haven’t found their conclusion. So, this season is going to be incredibly satisfying for people. It is going to be incredibly exciting and heartbreaking,” she continued.
As we know, George R.R. Martin is pretty fond of killing off our beloved characters, so at least a few deaths are to be expected. We also know from previous seasons that plot twists and supernatural elements are all in the cards.
“All of the things that you expect from Game of Thrones, but at the same time since it is the last one, the emotions will be so much more intense. I am very excited for people to see it. We have been working so hard on it. The production is finished now,” Emmanuel added.
Game of Thrones‘ eighth and final season premieres some time during the first half of 2019. And according to Emmanuel, “people will have their mind blown when they watch the final one.” We can’t wait! (Floor8)
