Atiku is a serial contestant and loser… he’ll run for president in 2031 – Wike
Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has described former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as a serial “contestant and loser”.
Wike was reacting to Abubakar’s recent remarks on the state of the nation and his presidential ambition.
During an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday, Abubakar said the 2027 general election will be his last shot at the presidency.
Abubakar has run for the number one office six times, but has been on the ballot as a presidential candidate on three occasions — 2007, 2019, and 2023.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain also criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing him as the worst leader in the nation’s history.
But speaking on Thursday in Abuja, Wike said Abubakar was not honest about his assessment of the Tinubu government.
“Atiku is a serial failure. He is a serial contestant and loser, and I am sure that in 2031, he will still contest,” Wike said. (TheCable)
