A group, Lagos Development Initiative, has endorsed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for second term, saying infrastructure development in the state under his watch is outstanding.
The group Chairman, Alhaji Omolola Shittu, said the endorsement followed a close assessment of the governor’s performance, which he described as “impressive.”
Shittu, according to a statement on Thursday, spoke at the inauguration of the Isolo/Ejigbo chapter of the group, noting that the group had chapters in the 57 local governments and local council development areas of the state.
“Having watched closely the impressive performance of the governor, the group deemed it fit to honour him with a second term.
“You can see the presence of the governor in virtually all parts of the state. For instance, you can see the work in progress at Oshodi interchange and the road network project in Epe.”
Shittu urged members to get their Permanent Voter Cards to actualise the second-term bid for the governor.
The event was attended by the group’s representatives from Ibeju Lekki, Salawat Ashafa; Umaru Anthony, from Agege; Morufu Amsat, Ikosi Ejinrin; Jimoh Gbadamosi, Oshodi-Isolo; Chief Olusegun Olowu, Epe; Abraham Amos, Badagry and Alhaji Olawale Alebiosu, Surulere, among others.
