Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez said he successfully underwent surgery after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a fractured metatarsal bone.
Martinez was carried off the pitch during United’s 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Europa League.
On Instagram, he shared a picture of himself post-surgery wearing a hospital gown with the caption “Everything went really well, thanks to God! Many thanks for all of your messages. Now focusing on recovery. Let’s go”.
The 25-year-old’s injury comes as United seeks to secure third place in the Premier League as well as the Europa League and FA Cup titles.
