2027: APC leaders endorse Lagos Assembly Majority Leader
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Eti-Osa, Lagos State, have endorsed the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Noheem Adams, as their consensus candidate ahead of the 2027 elections.
Adams, who represents Eti-Osa Constituency I in the Assembly, secured the backing of party stakeholders, apex leaders, and community groups within the constituency, who cited his performance and loyalty to the party as key reasons for the endorsement.
In a letter dated March 26, 2026, and addressed to the party leadership, a group of 26 leaders, including Murphy Adetoro, a member of the Governance Advisory Council, and Alhaji Raheem Alli, Apex Leader of Eti-Osa East LCDA, formally notified the party of their decision.
The letter, titled “Notification on Our Consensus Candidate in Eti-Osa Constituency I,” stated that the endorsement followed extensive deliberations and a review of the lawmaker’s performance in office.
“We have unanimously endorsed Hon Noheem Babatunde Adams as our candidate,” the leaders said, describing him as a proven leader whose contributions have earned the trust and admiration of the community.
They added that Adams’ commitment to responsive governance, constituent engagement, and community development had made a tangible impact, expressing confidence that his re-election would consolidate ongoing progress in the constituency.
The leaders also urged the party hierarchy to ratify the consensus arrangement to ensure a united front ahead of the elections, including preparations for the presidential race involving Bola Tinubu and other elective positions.
Similarly, 16 ward and local government chairmen in Eti-Osa reaffirmed the decision in a separate letter addressed to the Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
The chairmen pledged to mobilise party structures and resources to secure victory for the party in the constituency.
“We are convinced that with Hon Noheem Adams as the standard-bearer, APC will record a landslide victory across all elective positions in Eti-Osa Constituency I in 2027,” the letter read.
In the same vein, the Lekki Residents Association, led by its President, Alhaji Sulyman Bello, also threw its weight behind the lawmaker, promising to mobilise residents in support of his candidacy.
The association noted that Adams had been a strong pillar of support for the community and assured the party of massive votes in the forthcoming elections.
