Makinde Re-appoints Ex-Lagos CP, Owoseni, Others as Advisers
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo has re-appointed Fatai Owoseni as special adviser on security matters in the state.
Makinde announced the re-appointment of the former Lagos State Commissioner of Police on Thursday, July 20.
The governor, in a letter signed by his chief of staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, also announced the re-appointment of a former chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Oyo state chapter, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, as special adviser on Labour matters.
The letter also announced the re-appointment of a retired assistant comptroller of Immigration, Segun Adegoke, as the special adviser on homeland security.
The immediate past commissioner for trades and commerce, Chief Bayo Lawal, also emerged as the new senior executive assistant on general duties.
Other appointments approved by Governor Makinde include Olatilewa Folami – director-heneral, Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA), Elias Adeojo- chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State and Olufemi Awakan- chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.
The Governor explained that he had approved the appointment of Debo Akande as executive adviser, agribusiness, international cooperation and development & director-general, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).
In the letter made available to newsmen through his chief press secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor also announced the appointment of the immediate past commissioner for trades and commerce, Bayo Lawal, as senior executive assistant on general duties.
The governor urged the new appointees to see their appointments as a further call to service in the state as he enjoined them to discharge their duties with dedication and absolute loyalty.
The new appointments were with immediate effect.
