Popular artiste Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Alabama aka MohBad died on Tuesday September 12, 2023. He was 27.
The artiste formally signed under Marlian record was however not the first superstar to die at 27.

Here are celebrities who died at 27.

1. Anton Viktorovich Yelchin

Anton Viktorovich Yelchin was born on March 11, 1989 and died on June 19, 2016.

He was 27.

He was an American actor.

He was born in the Soviet Union to a Russian Jewish family, he immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of 6 months.

2. Shot (rapper)

Evgeny Yurievich was born on December 1, 1989 and died on September 21, 2017.

He was known professionally as Shot, and previously First Shot was a Kazakh-Russian rapper.

Ilnitsky died in a diabetic coma in September 2017, he was 27 years old.

3. Kim Jong-hyun


Kim Jong-hyun was born on April 8, 1990 and died on December 18, 2017.

He was a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer, radio host, and author under the SM Entertainment label.

In December 2017, Jonghyun rented an apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam District in southeastern Seoul for two days. He checked in at 12:00 PM KST on December 18, 2017.

Later that day, at 4:42 PM, Jonghyun’s older sister, Kim So-dam, made an initial call to emergency responders, reporting that she believed he intended to commit suicide, because he had sent her a number of messages on KakaoTalk with words such as “last goodbye” and “say I did well”

4. Derrick Antonio Coleman

Derrick Antonio Coleman was born on July 4, 1990 and died on January 19, 2018.

known professionally as Fredo Santana, was an American rapper.

The older cousin of rapper Chief Keef, Santana began recording music in 2011, releasing a series of mixtapes throughout 2012 and 2013.

Santana died of a seizure on January 19, 2018 at age 27.

5. Tyler Skaggs


Tyler Wayne Skaggs was born on July 13, 1991 and died on July 1, 2019 at age 27.

He was an American left-handed professional baseball starting pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels from 2012 until his death in 2019.

On June 30, 2019, Skaggs texted Eric Kay, the communications director for the Angels, asking for painkillers. That night, Skaggs did not respond to his wife Carli’s good-night text, which she typically sent when he was on the road. The following day, Skaggs was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Southlake, Texas. He was pronounced dead at around 2:18 pm, when authorities arrived at the scene.

6. MohBad


Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known professionally as MohBad, was born on June 8, 1996 and died on 12 September 2023.

He was a rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos.

He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records and left the label in 2022.

He was best known for his hit singles “Ponmo, Feel Good”, and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” (You Will Always Be Remembered) with Rexxie which was nominated three times for The Headies awards 2022.
