The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has appointed a veteran journalist, Chief Oliver Okpala, as his senior special assistant on public enlightenment.
The appointment takes effect from today, the 1st of November 2023.
Chief Okpala has worked as a journalist in both print and electronic media for 45 years. He had served as a media consultant to the former governor of Ebonyi state, Dr Sam Egwu.
He served as a media and strategic communications adviser to a former governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano and also a one-time media adviser to the former Peoples Democratic Party national chairman, Dr Bamanga Tukur.
His letter of appointment was signed by the national secretary of the party, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.
