American rapper Meek Mill has countered assertions that rap is “dying” by highlighting his financial success, affirming that he earned a staggering $1 million per song.
In an Instagram post, he emphasized this, stating, “I’m getting a million a song… so that’s $62,500 every bar I speak… They say this rap sh*t dying must be on Billboard because it’s not to Meek!”
Nigerian artiste Wizkid previously stirred controversy by declaring “hip-hop is dead” during an interview.
This statement prompted widespread reactions from both local and global hip-hop figures. South African rapper Nasty C, alongside M.I, Zoro Swagbag, Oladips, and others, openly criticized Wizkid for his contentious remarks.
