Mohbad’s Wife, Wunmi Laments Slipping Into Depression, Sickness Over Cyberbullying, Threats To Her Life And Son’s

Wunmi, the wife of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has lamented how constant cyberbullying and threats to her life and that of her eight-month-old son, Liam, threw her into depression and sickness.

SaharaReporters on Sunday reported how over 400 people signed a petition demanding urgent action on cyberbullying against Mohbad’s wife and son.

Justice For Mohbad Movement Group which launched the petition stated that the petition is to draw the South African Police Service’s immediate attention to a grave and distressing matter concerning the cyberbullying and threats directed at Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi and their eight-month-old son, Liam, by individuals identified as Adeshina Kabiru (alias Hayat) and Cele SA.

Wunmi has also accused her father-in-law, Mr Aloba of being responsible for the cyberbullying and the threats against her and her son. According to her, Aloba who accused her of killing her husband wants to take her out of the way and take over Mohbad’s properties.

It was rumoured that Wunmi had attempted to commit suicide following the cyberbullying and threats against her and her son.

However, when contacted, Wunmi denied ever attempting to commit suicide.

However, she said she became depressed over the cyberbullying and the threats and as a result of the depression, she became sick for some days.

“No, I never attempted to commit suicide. What actually happened was that because of the cyberbullying from all over the social media and the constant calls I received from those who have continued to vow that they must kill me or my son, I became depressed and fell sick for some days,” she said.

“They are all over everywhere and they always call me and guess my location right and it is really getting to me, so I became depressed but I never attempted to commit suicide.” (SaharaReporters)
