Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has named his starting XI for the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16 clash against Cameroon.
The experienced William Troost-Ekong makes a welcome return to the team. He will lead the backline alongside Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey. Stanley Nwabali retains his place and makes it four starts in four games in the 2023 AFCON.
Alex Iwobi will start in the midfield alongside Frank Onyeka. Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen will lead the front line.
Peseiro has stuck with the 3-4-3 formation, which gave him the one-goal win against Guinea-Bissau on Thursday.
