Sanwo-Olu Gifts Corps Members N100,000 Each, Budgets N5bn For NYSC Camp
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has announced a cash gift of N100,000 to all the corps members under 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream I posted to the state.
He also pledged N5 billion to the construction of the permanent orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps in the state.
The governor made the announcement while speaking at the passing-Out Parade/Closing Ceremony for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps Members.
Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, disclosed this in a post via X on Tuesday.
The governor, in a video Gawat also shared, was seen assuring each corps member that the cash gift would be delivered directly into their accounts next week.
“This year alone, I will be allocating a total of ₦5 billion to commence the full development of the permanent site for NYSC.
“For this batch, we have 4,254 members, and with all sense of responsibility and because you have been very hardworking, each and every one of you will go home with ₦100,000. The money will be made available in your accounts by next week, and your directors will credit your account,” he stated.
