Ndume named Senate committee chair on tourism after removal as chief whip
Senator Ali Ndume has been appointed as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tourism following his recent removal from the position of Chief Whip.
The reshuffling in the red chamber was informed by Ndume’s removal as the Senate chief whip.
The senator was removed after suggesting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has been hijacked.
Ndume, a former Senate leader, made the comment in an interview with Arise TV recently.
The ruling All Progressives Congress moved against him after the interview asking the Senate leadership to relieve him of the position.
Ndume, a ranking senator from Borno state, will now assume leadership of the Tourism Committee.
