418 Army Cadet officers graduate from NDA
Four hundred and eighteen cadet officers on Friday graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
The graduation ceremony of the leadership and adventure training for Army Cadets of 71 Regular Course and Direct Short Service 28 of the NDA took place at the Citizenship Training Centre, Shere Hills, Jos, Plateau State.
Speaking, the NDA Commandant, Major-General John Ochai, expressed optimism that the graduating cadets were thoroughly trained to tackle the current insecurity in the country as they have been exposed to military leadership in the Nigerian Defence Academy.
Ochai, who was represented by the Director, Military Training of NDA, Brig-General Olurotimi Awolo, said that the cadets were brought to the Citizenship and Leadership Centre in Jos so that they could broaden their leadership skills in addition to the training received at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.
He explained that he and other senior officers had worked assiduously to ensure that the cadets meet the required standards expected of them in the various services of the armed forces of Nigeria.
Ochai stressed that the cadets have been exposed to conventional warfare and different trainings, adding that they have been exposed to imagined security threats, especially the use of drones and some other electronics to make them more efficient.
