Edo guber: God chose Okpebholo to make up for Obaseki’s eight years of disaster – Oshiomhole %Post Title

Adams Oshiomhole, the senator representing Edo North senatorial district and former governor of Edo, believes that Monday Okpebholo’s victory in the Edo State governorship election is God’s doing.

TRIBUNE ONLINE reports Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress won the election with 291,667 votes, surpassing Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered 247,274 votes.

Oshiomhole expressed his thoughts on the election outcome, stating that “anything that God cannot do does not exist” and emphasising that power resides with God.

He also noted the election was about choice, not a “do or die” affair.

In his words, “Today, God, by His infinite powers, has decreed that Senator Monday to make up for 8 years of disaster caused by Obaseki and Asua together.”

It’s worth noting that Obaseki’s leadership has been a subject of discussion, with some questioning Okpebholo’s capability to lead and Ighodalo pledging to uphold Obaseki’s achievements.

The PDP has also cast doubts on Okpebholo’s fitness for office.
