The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has scrapped the daily access gate fee at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport immediately.

In a statement signed on Saturday by FAAN spokesperson Dr Obiageli Orah, the suspension will take effect from Friday, January 24, to Friday, February 7, 2025.

According to him, the essence of the decision was to alleviate the traffic burden on airport road users.

“The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria wishes to inform the general public that all access gates at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International International Airport, Abuja, are suspended to alleviate the traffic burden on our airport road users,’ he said.

Dr. Orah said the agency deeply empathises with the inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction and remains committed to ensuring a smooth travel experience for all road users.
