“Bad Father!” – Portable Slams Daddy Over Ogun Police Issue
Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has criticized his father for not stepping in to resolve his ongoing issue with the Ogun State Police.
Portable has blasted his father for not intervening in his ongoing dispute with the Ogun State Police, accusing him of abandoning him during the crisis and failing to settle the issue.
The dispute began when officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA) visited Portable’s Odogwu Bar and Restaurant to shut down the business for operating without the necessary permits and insufficient air space.
Portable accused the officials of arriving at his establishment and arresting over 20 people, including artists and customers. He also claimed that vehicles, gadgets, and personal belongings were seized during the raid.
However, the Ogun State Commissioner for Physical Planning, Olatunji Odunlami, rejected Portable’s claims, calling them “spurious and blatant falsehood.” He insisted that the arrest followed proper legal procedures.
As a result of the confrontation, nine individuals, including Portable, were charged with offenses such as armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and attempted murder. Portable remains at large.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Portable expressed frustration with his father, accusing him of abandoning him during the crisis. He claimed that his father was involved in handling his business projects but failed to intervene in the legal issue.
Portable questioned why his father didn’t visit the police station to resolve the matter, describing him as a “bad father” and alleging that his father took money from him for various investments.
He wrote, “But why my papa no go police station to cover me, he is a bad father. Na him I dey give money to do all those houses, na him chop my money. If too say him don settle with them I no go get problem with this people.”
He continued, “Why my papa go dey run for police? House wey be say na you I dey give money make you run am. All those houses belong to me Badmus Family.”
