Are you ready to conceive and you are having a hard time doing so?

There are certain foods that when consumed regularly will increase fertility and consequently boost your chances of pregnancy.

Here are six foods you should include in your diet when trying to make a baby.

Beans

Beans are a fertility-boosting food because of their high protein level.

Women who eat a lot of plant protein are less likely to have trouble trying to conceive. Lentils, tofu, edamame, and nuts are also good plant-based proteins.

Ice-cream

The nurses’ health study found that one or two daily servings of whole milk or whole milk products like ice-cream protects against ovulatory infertility.

Vegetables

Spinach, romaine, arugula, broccoli, and other dark leafy greens are high in folate, a B vitamin that some studies have shown may improve ovulation.

Men who also get higher doses of folate make healthier sperm, potentially reducing the chances of miscarriage or genetic problems in the baby.

Salmon

Salmon is full of omega-3 fatty acids which are proven to regulate blood flow to the reproductive organs.

Oysters

Oysters have a reputation for increasing libido, but oysters can also be a great source of fertility because they are packed with zinc, which increases the production of good-quality eggs.

Yam

Research shows yams have an ovulation-stimulating substance that can help boost fertility.
