President Trump calls for Obama’s arrest over explosive coup allegation

President Donald Trump has publicly demanded that former US President Barack Obama be arrested, following accusations that he masterminded a “years-long coup” aimed at discrediting Trump’s presidency.

The demand came after Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, released more than 100 pages of files that she asserted reveal an Obama administration conspiracy to discredit Trump’s 2016 election win through “manufactured intelligence.”

Gabbard described the plot as “an egregious abuse of power” aimed at subverting the will of the American people, calling it a “treasonous conspiracy” in her statement on Friday.

“Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup,” Gabbard alleged, insisting that every individual involved “must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Trump amplified her claims by reposting her interviews and an AI-generated video on Truth Social that showed Obama being handcuffed and escorted by FBI agents while the Village People’s “YMCA” played in the background. The video ended with the former president in an orange jumpsuit, behind bars, under the caption: “No one is above the law.”

According to the declassified files, senior Obama-era officials were aware that Russia had “no capability to manipulate actual vote counts” but allegedly pushed a narrative suggesting otherwise. The documents, though heavily redacted, detail insider conversations involving James Clapper and other key figures debating how to present Russian interference claims.

Gabbard warned that this alleged cover-up threatens the “foundation of American democracy,” and urged an immediate FBI investigation targeting everyone involved, including Obama and former FBI Director James Comey.

Trump’s directive to Attorney General Pam Bondi is clear: prepare to disclose grand jury testimony linked to the case, pending court approval.

Democrats, however, have dismissed the revelations as a smokescreen to shift attention from the Justice Department’s closure of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
