Guardiola regrets letting Palmer go, prepares to break record to bring him back

Manchester City are interested in bringing Cole Palmer back to the club after his amazing season with Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola has been impressed, especially with how well Palmer played in the 2025 Club World Cup final, where he scored two goals to help Chelsea beat PSG 3–0.

The 23-year-old has had a great year, scoring 18 goals and giving 14 assists in 52 games for Chelsea. Because of this, City are now thinking seriously about signing him again.

However, the transfer won’t be easy. Chelsea want at least €170 million for him, which would be the highest transfer fee in Premier League history.

Palmer left Manchester City for Chelsea in 2023 for €47 million. In just two years, he has become one of Chelsea’s best and most important players.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are also interested, but Chelsea seem determined to keep him. He has become a key part of their team and future plans.
