Napoli, Gala finalising Osimhen agreement

Napoli
and Galatasaray are currently signing and exchanging the necessary documents to complete the permanent transfer of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, with multiple outlets reporting that the deal has reached the finalisation stage.

According to transfer specialists Fabrizio Romano and Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the transaction is now at the ‘signing stage’, with lawyers from both clubs working to complete the transfer before the end of the weekend.

The breakthrough came earlier this week when Napoli and Galatasaray finally reached a decisive agreement over the payment structure for Osimhen’s €75m transfer.

Whilst Galatasaray had already agreed to pay the full asking price, both parties continued negotiations over payment terms, instalments and guarantees before settling on a structured deal.

Galatasaray will pay Napoli the full €75m by the end of 2026, with €40 million paid upfront and the remaining €35 million in instalments by the end of next year.

The Partenopei will also be entitled to up to €5 million in bonuses and will retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause in the agreement.

Osimhen will leave Napoli after five years on the club’s books, with the final season spent on loan in Istanbul with Galatasaray.

The Nigeria international netted 65 Serie A goals from 108 league appearances during his time in Naples and was the Capocannoniere as Napoli won their first Serie A title since the Diego Maradona era during the 2022/23 season.

His loan spell with Galatasaray in 2024/25 produced frightening form in front of goal, with 37 goals scored and eight assists provided from 41 appearances across all competitions.
