Abductors Of Business Man At Abuja Mosque Demand N100m

The abductors of a business man, Alhaji Yusuf Keche at Dabi in Kwali Area Council of the FCT have demanded N100 million ransom from the victim’s family before he would be released.

It would be recalled that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers had last week Monday, whisked away the victim at gunpoint after he observed Ishai’i prayers at a mosque close his house in Dabi, Kwali Area Council of the FCT.

A family member of the victim who preferred anonymity for security reasons confirmed the development to our reporter through the telephone on Monday.

He said the abductors made the ransom demand after they were able to establish contact with the family, through the victim’s phone.

He said the leader of the kidnappers spoke with one of the family members of the victim through the telephone on Sunday and demanded for the ransom.

“Actually, the leader of the kidnappers spoke with the mediator who he disclosed that the gunmen are demanding for N100 million ransom before they can release our brother, even though the family are yet to respond to them for negotiation,” he said.

The spokesperson of the FCT police command, SP Adeh Josephine is yet to confirm the development as calls put across her have not been answered as of the time of filing this report. (Daily trust)
