AKT Mobilises Women, Community Leaders for Yayi’s Ogun Governorship Bid
Akintunde Odeyemi (AKT) on Friday intensified grassroots mobilisation for Senator Adeola Olamilekan Solomon, popularly known as Yayi, bringing together women and community leaders from Abeokuta South and Abeokuta North in support of his Ogun State governorship ambition.
The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots political networks, promoting unity and consolidating support for Yayi ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The gathering also provided an opportunity to reconnect with party members whose enthusiasm may have waned, renew their sense of belonging and encourage greater participation in political activities ahead of the polls.
Women and community leaders played a central role in the engagement, reflecting the importance of ward-level structures in political mobilisation and community outreach.
Through the meeting, AKT sought to strengthen relationships with grassroots stakeholders, encourage renewed commitment among party members and promote collective participation in support of Yayi and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The engagement also underscored the need for sustained communication with party members and community leaders as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum across Ogun State.
AKT’s meeting with the ward leaders forms part of ongoing grassroots engagement aimed at building stronger community connections and reinforcing support for Yayi’s governorship ambition.
The event ended with an emphasis on unity, renewed participation and collective commitment among the attendees towards the party’s political objectives in Ogun State.
