“You have to pay to see Tinubu“- Ali Ndume alleges
The Senator representing Borno North Senatorial District has lamented the difficulty experienced by top public office holders while seeking an audience with President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking in an interview with Arise Television on Tuesday, Ndume also alleged that the Tinubu administration is filled with corrupt individuals who are only interested in securing their pockets and other personal gains.
“You see, if you allow small problems like this, it can develop into something bigger and irreparable damage.
“So why don’t you avoid that by taking those actions, like this thing started in the US Congress and we have the National Assembly here. And like I told them during the motion, it takes 10 hours to get to the US from here. And it takes Mr President a phone call to request an audience with Donald Trump and we have reputable International diplomats in the country,” Ndume said.
Mentioning names like Emeka Anyaoku, and Amina Mohammed of the United Nations, Ndume said the allegations of Christian genocide, proclamation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern and the military invasion threat by the US should never have been allowed to snowball to the present situation.
Also querying the fact that it took the present administration two years to seek an audience with the US White House, the lawmaker said it is unfortunate that the Nigerian government is now pursuing means to manage a situation that should never have happened.
“What do you mean manage the crisis? The government of Tinubu came in two and a half years ago or so, do you know that we don’t have an ambassador anywhere? Do you know that we don’t have a representative in the UN?
“I mean, let’s say it as it is. I don’t like to say this on TV but that’s the only way I can vent because I don’t have the chance to see the president, the only time you can see the president is maybe, you run to where he is going to – an event or something – and maybe if he (Tinubu) sees you, he can say, “oh! Ndume”.
“This is how they run the government, I am telling you, they don’t have people in there.
“The government is dominated by kakistrocats, I want to repeat that again and then klpetocrats… all they are concerned about is, if you want to see the president, they will ask you, how much?” he stated.
