Terrorists Kill Former Councillor, Abduct Sons In Adamawa Governor Fintiri’s Home Village
Terrorists on Monday attacked Kirchinga community in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing a former councillor and abducting his two sons.
The victim, Hon. Thlama Sini, a former councillor representing Kirchinga Ward, was reportedly seized alongside his children during the late-night invasion.
Local sources said the attackers later killed him and fled with the boys.
Kirchinga is not just any community in Madagali, it is the home village of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, making the attack all the more shocking and a blow to the area’s sense of security.
Residents said the incident has sown fear among families in the village, which has long struggled with sporadic terrorist attacks.
Family sources told SaharaReporters that the terrorists stormed Sini’s residence and demanded that he follow them into the forest with his two sons.
“He told them he was diabetic and hypertensive and could not make the journey into the forest, and instead asked them to name their price,” a family source said.
The attackers refused to negotiate, took Sini to the outskirts of the village, and shot him dead, the sources added.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement as the search for the abducted children continues.(SaharaReporters)
