BREAKING: Court Adjourns Sowore’s Trial Until March Over Lack Of Video Evidence By Prosecution
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the trial of human rights activists, Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare, until March 11, 12 and 13, 2020 for lack of video evidence by the prosecution team.
Sowore and Bakare are standing trial in a case brought against them by the Nigerian Government bothering on attempting to bring down the government of President Muhammadu Buhari through revolution.
Earlier Justice Ojukwu had struck out the previous seven-count charge filed against them after it was substituted by the prosecution with a new charge.
Recall that the judge had on Wednesday lambasted the prosecution for not being prepared for trial and ordered the Nigerian Government to pay the defendants N200, 000 each for time wasting. (SaharaReporters)
