Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, the ousted Emir of Kano, has been moved from Loko in Nasarawa state to an undisclosed location.

He was moved to a house in Loko in the early hours of today (Tuesday) after being dethroned by the Kano state Executive Council on Monday.
A live report monitored on a terrestrial television station says a police helicopter conveyed him out of Loko to another location amidst tight security.
Newsmen report that following his dethronement, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has been appointed as the new Emir of Kano by the state government.
