Killer cop Derek Chauvin on suicide watch after George Floyd killing
Former Minneapolis Police officer, Derek Chauvin, accused of killing George Floyd during an arrest has been put on suicide watch.
According to TMZ, Derek Chauvin who faces a 3rd-degree murder and 2nd-degree manslaughter charges – for kneeling on George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds – has a camera focused on him round-the-clock and cops check on him in his cell regularly as he has been placed on a suicide watch.
He has reportedly been kept in a single cell in a special wing of the facility for high-profile cases, in isolation and being watched constantly.
“There’s a camera in his cell watching him 24/7, as well as guards monitoring the feed 24/7. On top of that, he’s getting checked on in-person every 15 minutes,” TMZ reports.
The suicide watch is said to be a standard process for the section of jail in which he is being kept and he may not be suicidal.
Chauvin’s wife has allegedly filed for a divorce after his arrest.
Reports also claim that George Floyd and his killer cop, Derek Chauvin were co-workers at a club.
