An Aba based business man has arrested a Port Harcourt based lady and charged her to court for allegedly defrauding him of N8500 meant for her transportation fare from Port Harcourt to Aba.
According to reports, the duo allegedly met on Facebook. The 31-year-old man, said he met the 22-year-old Queen Benita online who agreed o visit him in Aba on the 10th of October 2019 and lured him to send N8500 to her Access Bank Account as transport.
Ken Ukpai Esq ,who is Chukwudi’s Lawyer said the act was a premeditated act to defraud his client and in separate petitions to the force headquarters and the court, Ken demanded the compensation of N850,000 for his client.
Ken argued that if his client, had invested since 10th October, 2019 he would have made more that the demanded compensation and that the two entered into a binding contract. The law court enforces contracts and not agreements.
