Former African champions, Super Eagles, were held to a scoreless draw by the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the African Cup of Nations 2022 qualifier in Freetown on Tuesday.

Nigeria leads Group L with eight points, while Benin trails by seven points after they were held to a scoreless draw in Manseru.

Sierra Leone and Benin Republic have also secured three and and two points respectively.

The Gernot Rohr side will play away to Benin Republic and also host Lesotho in March 2021 in their final games of the qualifiers.
